LiveTrax is the original (and still the best) backing tracks player!

LiveTrax is an audio cue controller/ backing tracks player for musicians who use tracks during live performances. When a song has finished playing, LiveTrax waits for you to start the next song.

LiveTrax is also a cue controller which enables you to create "pages" of sound trigger pads. This function is perfect for for DJs and Sound Engineers who need a quick and easy way to access and trigger music, sounds or sound effects on the fly.

LiveTrax draws music and sounds from playlists you create in iTunes or on the Music app on your device. Here are some of LiveTraxs unique features:

• The player stops between songs and waits for the musician to start the next song.

• The large play button makes it easy to see and trigger on stage.

• The QuickCue Pads function creates "pages" of cues with up to 15 cue pad buttons per "page" (max of 120 songs) all instantly playable by touching a pad. Easily flip through pages of cue pads by swiping horizontally. Reveal or dismiss the pads by swiping vertically. This is perfect solution for Sound Engineers and DJs who need to trigger music or sound effects on the fly. This function is suited for live events, theater, radio, etc.

• Large radial play progress indicator & digital percentage indicator instantly shows the current playback position.

• The "Never Sleep" option keeps LiveTrax awake. Youll never miss a cue by having to manually wake your device.

• LiveTrax will continue to play when you exit the app so you can use other apps while performing.

• 4 different interface style settings. Choose the look that you can most clearly see on stage.

• Loop button for infinitely repeating loops. Note: LiveTrax does not create loops. It plays loops previously created and imported into a playlist.

• Optional song start delay.

• Time display to see at a glance what time it is while performing.

If youre a performing musician- LiveTrax is the only way to play live tracks!

Pros and cons of LiveTrax app for iPhone and iPad

LiveTrax app good for

Cooool ! The latest update just flashes the logo for half a second and then crashes.
A colleague of mine suggested I try LiveTrax after seeing me struggle on-stage with a different app. Once he showed me the User Interface on his iPad I just had to try it out. I wasnt disappointed. It was so easy to use that I could even run tracks easily from my iPhone (I always keep my tracks on my phone as a back-up in case my iPad fails). Other musicians who have seen me use the app (and how could they not notice with that huge play button!) have asked me about it and I encouraged them to try it out. Best of all was customer support. I wrote to the developer, Marty Friend, about some concerns I had with the interface and suggested some improvements to help further prevent any embarrassing mis-cues on stage. To my pleasant surprise, I received an almost immediate, and direct, response from Mr. Friend. My suggestions were considered and improvements were quickly implemented in an update. Very Professional!
I sing Christian music. As a soloist, I need to have instant access to all my tracks immediately. LiveTrax is exactly what I needed. Ive used it for several years now, and NEVER had a problem. Flawless & awesome!!
Would love to be able to see my battery level while using the app!
Loving the upgrades with version 2. App feels way more responsive. Only two gripes: Wish there was an option in preferences for it to default to "cue pads" when switching between playlists. Also wish the volume in the app and master volume were one and the same, sometimes the ipod buttons control the app volume, sometimes the master volume.
This is a well designed app that doesnt try to do too much. It works quite well to trigger sound for performances--theater, dance, and the like. When you are in a dark space and you need the right cue and iTunes wont cut it. It is easy to use and does a few specific things well. Hopefully the developers will keep it simple, havent found a better tool for cueing live sound.

Some bad moments

Can´t use it anymore, always crashing right after trying to open it.
I was pleased with this app’s functioning, but then upgraded my phone to iOS 10 and now it doesn’t see my playlists, so it’s no use at all.
You guys got it right! Im a working solo musician gigging in Vegas every night. LiveTrax is THE solution if you use live backup tracks! This app is just what Ive needed! I run it in 2x mode on my iPad. You guys rock!
As a performing musician, this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for since I first started loading tracks into my iPod to perform with. You wont believe what a BIG difference this will make for your live performance. No more botched tracks or scrambling to stop the ipod before it kicks into the next song. This is seriously AWESOME
If youve been frustrated using your iPod / iPhone to play back music in any sort of mission-critical application, no doubt youve been frustrated as I have with the interface and features o the built-in music player. Dont get me wrong, its great for what Apple designed it for, but the iPod was engineered for the world of consumers, not music and audio professionals. Ive seen people spend hundreds of dollars on dedicated hardware to do what this little $2 app and an iPhone will do. Best app ever.
This is a great tool for performers who need backing tracks to play along with. The simplicity of the interface makes it perfect for the live setting. Its about time that someone came up with the ability to pause between songs in a playlist! Thanks for making this. It will greatly simplify my whole set up.
